Second Norwegian Winter Workshop on QCD in Extreme Conditions

Trondheim, Norway, Thursday 13th December - Saturday 15th December 2012

The workshop starts Thursday morning and ends Saturday at noon

- QCD in strong magnetic fields

- Lattice simulations at finite baryon chemical potential

- Out-of-equilibrium dynamics

- Resummation techniques and effective theories in hot and dense QCD

Food etc:
We will be able to offer coffee/tea/cookies/waffles twice a day. There is no conference fee. Hungry? Cafeterias on campus . A workshop dinner will be organized Friday evening.

Travel information:

There are direct flights to Trondheim from Copenhagen (SAS/Norwegian), Stockholm (SAS), London/Stanstead (Norwegian), Prague (Norwegian), Oslo (SAS and Norwegian) Berlin/Schonefeld (Norwegian), and Amsterdam (KLM).

The airport in Trondheim (Værnes) is located approximately 35km from the city center. It is easy to get to your hotel from the airport. There are airport shuttles (flybussen/Værnesekspressen) that leave approximately every 15 min and takes 40 min. They stop 50m from the hotel and the bus stop is called "Prinsen kinosenter". We have 5 invited talks and a number of contributed talks. Invited talks are (45+15) and contributed talks (30+10). You can bring your own laptop or a pdf/ppt file.
We kindly ask the speakers for a copy of the talk so we can put it on the web page of the workshop.

We will have a wireless connection available. Instructions can be found in the folder provided upon registration.

Workshop dinner:

Festningen Restaurant. Workshop dinner is Friday evening at 19.00. We have chosen menu 4 and we will serve a vegetarian dish for those who requested that. We are organizing a guided tour around the fortress before dinner (45 min). The tour starts at 18.00. Directions to Festningen restaurant.
